Carol Wieland
Assistant Director of Instruction
Carol Wieland, M.S.Ed., Instructor, provides customized reading and math instruction to students of all ages. Her students benefit from her 30+ years of experience delivering instruction tailored to each student’s unique needs. Since joining the Stern Center, Carol has worked with numerous students and has collaborated with classroom teachers and Special Educators throughout the state. In her additional role as Assistant to the Director of Instruction at the Stern Center, Carol trains new members of the instruction team and oversees their programs with students, providing guidance and support as needed. Carol has also pursued her own professional learning by taking numerous courses related to Orton Gillingham reading instruction, written expression, math skills and concepts, and executive function skills.
Carol earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Houghton College and a Master of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Binghamton University. When she is not teaching, Carol enjoys hiking, biking, and spending time with her family.
