Kristy Wysong, M.S.Ed.
Wilson® Credentialed Trainer
Kristy Wysong has a bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Auburn University. She began her teaching career in Elementary Education in 1989 and now works for the district office in the Exceptional Student Education Department in the School District of Palm Beach County, Florida. She has taught 1st -4th grade and reading classes for struggling readers. As a member of the ESE Reading Intervention Team, Kristy trains and supports district teachers with programs for struggling readers. She began her interest in programs for dyslexic students in 2005 after her son’s diagnosis of dyslexia. She has been trained in the Orton-Gillingham method by the Michigan Dyslexia Institute and the Institute for Multisensory Education. After using the Orton-Gillingham method with struggling readers, she was offered the opportunity to have training in the Wilson Reading System. She earned her Wilson Trainer Credential in 2016. Now Kristy trains the Wilson Reading System, Just Words and Fundations® programs as an on-call trainer for the Wilson Language Corporation and for her school district as an in-district trainer. She also works as a Literacy Matrix Navigator with the University of Florida Literacy Institute helping other teachers earn their reading endorsement. Kristy’s passion is to help dyslexic students of all ages learn to read. She hopes to train others so they can use their knowledge to help students and adults around the country.
