Janice McGuire, M.Ed.
Instructor
Janice McGuire, M.Ed., earned her Master’s in Education from Southern New Hampshire University and, through additional training, was also granted an advanced degree in Special Education Administration. Also, she was one of the first educators in the State of Vermont to obtain an Online Teaching Specialist Certification. Janice is a specialist in applying multisensory strategies to a variety of content areas and study skills. She is a Certified Special Educator (age 3 through age 21) with extensive experience with executive function skills, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia. Her life has been dedicated to helping students who learn differently. Multisensory teaching methods are instructional strategies that are appropriate for all learners but essential for some. Janice is a Certified Dyslexia Specialist with Wilson Language Certification and has one hundred hours of graduate-level training in Orton Gillingham Multisensory Language Instruction. Additionally, she has been trained by Marilyn Zecher in the Multisensory Math Approach working with beginning math learners through high school and college complexity.
