Kristen Bierer, MA

Instructor

Kristen grew up in Asheville, North Carolina and has always enjoyed working with children. She is a licensed educator and recently moved to Vermont from New Mexico, where she taught in both public and private schools for 26 years. Kristen earned her BA in Elementary Education from University of North Carolina, Charlotte, MA in Special Education from University of New Mexico, Math Recovery Certification from Southern Cross University, and endorsement in Gifted Education. Her extensive background includes many years teaching kindergarten through third grade and as a private tutor. Kristen is dedicated to individualizing instruction with diverse groups of students, using a multi-modal approach. Some of Kristen’s favorite things to do are hiking, riding her bicycle, reading, swimming, gardening, and exploring new places with her family and dogs. She is honored to be a part of the Stern Center team and have the opportunity to be an integral part of students’ learning experiences.
