Melissa Johnson, MS, CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
A native Vermonter and licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP), Melissa brings experience spanning school-based, hospital, outpatient, inpatient, and skilled nursing settings. Most recently, she provided pediatric and adult evaluations and treatment at a local hospital, while also working in a local elementary school.
Melissa’s background also includes serving as an SLP and IEP/504 case manager at middle and high schools, as well as a clinical fellowship at Barre Gardens Nursing & Rehabilitation, where she delivered speech, language, cognitive, and dysphagia services. Her practice is grounded in evidence-based, functional interventions and close collaboration with clinical, educational, and family stakeholders across the lifespan.
Melissa holds an M.S. in Communication Sciences & Disorders from New York University and a B.A. in Geography from the University of Vermont.
Outside of work, Melissa lives with her husband, three kids, dogs, cat, and chickens. She enjoys gardening, hiking, camping, and running.
