Teaching reading is rocket science! What are the inner workings of the mind, and how do they enable reading comprehension? Participants will learn about the processes that comprise executive function, how they are measured, and how they relate to reading comprehension and instruction.

Our Structured Literacy Collaborative II will equip you with the tools and expertise of everything that goes into language comprehension, including syntax, sentence comprehension, and grammar; vocabulary; fluency; and morphology and etymology.
When Writing is Hard: Written Language Disorders and Dysgraphia
Writing can be challenging, and our understanding of the writing process impacts how we teach, assess, and respond to our students. Participants will leave this workshop with an understanding of how writing develops, the root causes of most writing problems, tools for progress monitoring, and areas of support that children require to express their thoughts on paper.
