On May 11, Ric Cengeri, host of WDEV’s Vermont Viewpoint, interviewed Dr. Laurie Quinn, President of the Stern Center for Language and Learning. In this conversation, Laurie and Ric discuss the variety of services the Stern Center offers that positively impact students and educators. In the interview, Dr. Laurie Quinn highlights how the vision of founder Dr. Blanche Podhajski, President Emerita, continues to thrive as the Stern Center pursues its mission of helping every child to learn. Today, the Stern Center provides academic evaluations, customized instruction, social learning, and professional learning for educators. Dr. Quinn also describes the timely and innovative programs at the Stern Center, such as partnership with schools to support student learning through stages of the COVID-19 pandemic; and Lead to Read, which empowers schools with systems change to improve literacy for all readers.
