Abby Roy, M.A., NCSP, C.A.G.S OGA is a nationally certified school psychologist who has over ten years of professional experience working with students ranging from preschool to college. She has expertise in assessing individual learning needs that contribute to academic struggles and behavior challenges in the school setting. She is particularly interested in uncovering language-based learning disabilities that can present as student disengagement. Abby holds an associate-level certification from the Orton-Gillingham Academy, which promotes a structured literacy approach to teaching reading and writing. She has a strong understanding of reading development and enjoys collaborating with parents and educators to support struggling readers. In addition to her expertise in literacy, Abby has experience assisting teachers and parents who support students with social, emotional, or attentional challenges.
Abby received her Master of Arts and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from Tufts University. Abby’s professional interests include bringing the science of reading to classrooms everywhere, as well as the relationship between executive functioning skills and academic success.
