Amy Pyfrom, M.Ed, A/OGA

Amy Pyfrom brings over 30 years of experience as a highly skilled special educator in public school settings. She provides tailored, individualized instruction in reading, writing, and math to meet each student’s unique learning needs. By partnering closely with families, Amy designs targeted learning plans that build core literacy and math skills, foster independence, and strengthen self-confidence. She works collaboratively with school teams, sharing data-informed progress and offering strategic support to fellow educators. Amy’s extensive career spans individual, small-group, and classroom instruction, where she masterfully scaffolds complex materials to make grade-level content accessible to all learners.

In addition to holding an Orton-Gillingham Associate Level certification, Amy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in History, Special Education, and Elementary Education from the Nazareth College of Rochester. She also holds a Master of Science in Education degree in Reading, featuring a K–12 Certificate of Reading Specialization, from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. Throughout her career as an educator, she has completed an additional 30 graduate credits across assessment and evaluation, educational leadership, and cognitive neuroscience, alongside comprehensive training in a wide range of math and literacy-based instructional approaches.

Driven by a deep love for teaching, Amy dedicates her life to creating tailored math and literacy lessons that build vital skills, honor unique learning needs, and instill the confidence students need to thrive.
