Deb Gay, MA
Instructor
Deb grew up in Massachusetts and knew that she wanted to be a teacher at an early age. She is a licensed special educator and taught in the Needham, Massachusetts school district for 15 years before moving to Vermont in 1995. Deb earned her BA in History with a minor in Education from the University of Maine, and her MA in Mild to Moderate Special Needs from Regis College, MA. Her extensive teaching background includes serving as a lead teacher for YouthBuild Burlington, VT. and Colchester School District as a special educator in the high school’s alternative program. After retiring from that position, she continued to conduct assessments for special education evaluations.
Believing that teaching is a life-long vocation, Deb is joining the Stern Center staff as an instructor, where she can continue to serve students. Some of Deb’s favorite things to do when not teaching are camping, bicycling, playing percussion, reading, and enjoying life with her husband.
