Emily Aswad, M.A.T., A/OGA

Instructor

Emily graduated from Hobart and William Smith with a Master of Arts in Teaching in 2010. She started her career at a charter school in Massachusetts, where she worked as a special educator for students in grades 7 through 10 for five years. She then moved to Vermont in 2016, where she worked as a special educator for students ranging from first through sixth grade. Emily joined the Stern Center team in 2022, and she specializes in working with students in the areas of literacy and executive functioning. Emily is a certified Orton-Gillingham practitioner at the Associate Level, and she is looking forward to continuing her Orton-Gillingham journey professionally. Emily enjoys being active and spending time skiing, mountain biking, and kiteboarding. She also enjoys cooking, reading, and gardening.
