Josie Jordan, M.Ed.

Instructor

Josie is a passionate English teacher with over 20 years of experience helping learners grow in confidence and ability. She holds a Master of Education from John Carroll University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She is currently completing her Associates-level certification in Orton-Gillingham through the Stern Center and is working on her Special Educator licensure.

Josie has taught Vermont students in grades 3–12 across a wide range of learning environments—from traditional classrooms to alternative programs and independent learning spaces. She specializes in creating personalized, engaging learning experiences that meet students where they are, build on their strengths, and support their academic and personal growth.

In addition to her classroom experience, Josie has nationally coached teachers and designed programs at the school, district, and state levels to support student-centered and interest-driven learning  She also co-founded LiFT Learning, an innovative online learning platform that helps students design projects and demonstrate their progress towards graduation while pursuing their interests.

Josie brings a thoughtful and playful approach, as well as a deep belief in every learner’s potential, to her instruction. She is committed to helping each student develop strong literacy skills while fostering a love of learning. Josie tremendously enjoys singing, music and dancing, being outdoors, and living/playing with her family in Lincoln, VT.
