Kate Mootz, M.A. CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist Evaluator
Kate Mootz, M.A., CCC-SLP, is an evaluator who provides assessments in the areas of speech, language, and social cognition & communication. Her areas of expertise include working with articulation and phonological disorders, language impairments, social cognition challenges, and fluency (stuttering). She earned a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology at the University of Colorado in Boulder, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College in Boston. Prior to joining the Stern Center, Kate worked extensively in school-based settings in Colorado and Vermont, as well as for a private practice in Maine. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association and a Vermont Educator’s License. Outside of the Stern Center, Kate enjoys spending time with her husband exploring the swimming holes of Vermont and pursuing long distance hiking and backpacking adventures.
