Kendra Totman Padilla, M.Ed.
Structured Literacy Coach
Kendra entered the field of education after earning her undergraduate degree in psychology from Williams College. She spent her early career teaching outdoor, environmental, and after-school education to students in multiple states across the country. She then moved to Baltimore and taught 3rd-grade literacy for five years before running reading intervention programs in Baltimore City public elementary schools. Now settled in Vermont, Kendra is active in her community, serving as a member of the school board, mentoring an elementary student, and supporting programming at the local library. When she is not working as a structured literacy coach with the Stern Center, she provides reading, spelling, and written expression intervention to students of all ages with specific learning needs. She is in the process of becoming a certified provider of the SPELL-LinksTM structured literacy program and previously did an Orton Gillingham training with the Institute for Multisensory Education. Kendra holds her Master of Education from Lesley University and her reading specialist postgraduate certificate from Goucher College.
