After teaching in public and independent school classrooms, Pam recognized that there were many bright children who had difficulty learning to read and write. To learn more, she sought training at The Carroll School – a school dedicated to educating the dyslexic student. After training, she became a tutor at the school working with students first through eighth grades. Pam then became an instructor in The Garside Institute for Teacher Training, Carroll School’s teacher training arm. With two partners, she formed COLE Associates to bring the Orton-Gillingham approach to teachers across the country. She continues to work on Academy committees to accredit schools and training programs.
