Rachel Branch, B.Ed, A/OGA

Instructor

Rachel brings 16 years of dedicated experience in public education to her work at The Stern Center. A 2007 graduate of Saint Michael’s College, Rachel has spent the majority of her career focused on ELA and structured literacy. Her background includes 11 years as a classroom teacher and five years as a Literacy Coach and Interventionist.

​A passionate advocate for the Science of Reading, Rachel has been implementing the Orton-Gillingham approach since 2014 and is certified at the Associate Level through the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators. She is driven by a mission to empower students who struggle with literacy, ensuring they don’t just improve their skills, but truly feel successful and confident in their abilities.

​When she isn’t in the classroom, Rachel enjoys life in Vermont – spending time with friends and family, her partner, and their feisty orange cat, Duck.
