Assessments & Evaluation Courses
Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Reading Comprehension, and Assessment
When reading difficulties arise, as they do for many children, effective intervention hinges on accurate, well-designed assessment. In this five-part recorded webinar series, renowned literacy expert, Melissa Farrall, Ph.D., unravels the complexity of reading, writing, and reading comprehension, guides educators in assessing literacy, provides parents and educators with a better understanding of reading difficulties, and recommends targeted interventions to help children who struggle.
Orton-Gillingham: Diagnostic Assessment Workshop Series
Participants will learn how to administer a comprehensive diagnostic assessment that can be used as a universal assessment for students in grades K–2. This assessment battery can also be used with struggling readers to determine a starting place for OG instruction and ongoing progress monitoring.
Linking Assessment to Instruction with a Structured Literacy Approach
In this course, you will learn how to use data obtained through informal and formal testing to enhance instruction using a structured literacy or Orton-Gillingham (OG) Approach. You’ll explore different profiles of dyslexia together with comorbid conditions, such as specific language impairments and ADHD.
