Introduction to Orton-Gillingham: Classroom Educator K-2
The Orton-Gillingham (OG) Approach is the underlying foundation of all multisensory, structured literacy instruction. This course provides an overview of the structure of the English language and how to teach it sequentially and systematically. It covers teaching the OG lesson in K–2 classrooms and meets the coursework requirements for Orton-Gillingham Academy Classroom Educator Level.

Orton-Gillingham for Intervention: Associate Level Course & Practicum 2025-2026
In this course and yearlong practicum, you’ll dive into the structure of the English language and learn how to teach it sequentially and systemically to struggling readers, including students with dyslexia. This cumulative 76-hour course and 100-lesson practicum meet the Orton-Gillingham Academy’s Associate Level training requirements. This training is designed for educators seeking OG certification to work with struggling readers.

Linking Assessment to Instruction with a Structured Literacy Approach
This interactive course is designed for educators with a background in Orton-Gillingham or Structured Literacy. In this class, we will explore different profiles of dyslexia together with related conditions, such as ADHD and dysgraphia. We will use our knowledge of structured literacy to analyze what different tests actually measure and how to think beyond test scores and data as a foundation for lesson planning and instruction.

Orton-Gillingham: Focus on Morphology Webinar
The English language builds words using speech sounds (phonemes) and units of meaning (morphemes). Teachers need to feel confident teaching phonics and morphology to help students understand the complexities of our language. When students understand morphology, their word identification, reading comprehension, vocabulary, spelling, and written expression improve. This webinar is for teachers in grades 3 and up who want to learn about morphology ranging from the most basic prefixes and suffixes to Latin and Greek combining forms.
